KIRK SODERHOLM
(1956 - September 10, 2005)
Kirk Soderholm, one of the founders of Desert Brotherhood Motorcycle Club and also designer of the Club patch, died on September 10, 2005 at the age of 49 from complications of an aortic aneurysm. He was an active member of Desert Brotherhood and the community. For many years he counseled persons with AIDS and arranged for their continuous care and well-being. He was employed by The Clark County Health District and was a member of the Advisory Board for Clark County on AIDS awareness. In this capacity, he was able to establish committees, which guaranteed that all those infected and affected by AIDS were cared for with dignity.
And avid motorcyclist, Kirk was originally a member of Satyricons Motorcycle Club in Las Vegas before being a founder of Desert Brotherhood. Over the years, his love for motorcycling led him to purchase 4 motorcycles, with the highlight being his purchase of a custom Harley-Davidson Superglide.
He is survived by his father, Richard; stepmother, Mary, both of Stillwater, Minnesota plus two step sisters and a brother; and stepfather, Alvin Sampson of Las Vegas, Nevada.
